Cubii Under Desk Elliptical Trainer

There is a new elliptical designed for under the desk being manufactured now. So far it looks good but until all the specs are out and it’s been given a real workout by real people we won’t know for sure.

In the meantime there is a big buzz about it as the three young folks who got together to have this made are trying to raise funds.

The originator of the Cubii is Arnav – who’s first desk job after graduating school left him feeling the drudgery of long days of inactivity. Formally quite involved in sports and now stuck in a cubical and chained to the corporate desk.

He liked the idea of the standing desk but felt it was out of his price range so he came up with the under desk elliptical as a solution.

Although there are some very nice under desk ellipticals already on the market the newer style appears to be sleeker.

Like many other under desk exercise equipment the Cubii is being made to have adjustable resistance so you can increase the tension if you want more of a workout while you are at the desk.

I don’t have access to the design spec’s yet but can say that it is turning heads and has taken a few rewards at the college level.

They boast that the design set’s itself apart from other under the desk exercise ellipticals. It is small so your knees won’t strike the underside of the desk and it is said to operate smoothly and quietly inside the office environment.

It also comes with an iPhone App so you can record your exercise. They estimate you can burn about 120 cal / hr.
