Exercise is good for you, orgasms are good for you, exercising can improve orgasms – and now – people (mostly women) can orgasm DURING exercise.
Now we know why she is smiling 🙂
No – I am not talking about exercising your kegel muscle either.
A couple years ago a (non-scientific) survey was done where almost 250 woman volunteered they indeed have experienced sexual pleasure during exercise. Almost half actually experienced orgasm DURING exercise.
A recent survey of random women gym goers tallied that 15% stated they could have an exercise induced orgasm.
What Exercises Gave the Most O’s?
The exercises that produced the most orgasms (almost half those surveyed) were abdominal exercises.
Because the core muscles are most often cited as the best inducers, this little event has been nicknamed the “coregasm”!
Runner ups were:
- spinning or cycling at 19%
- pole/rope climbing 9%
- weight lifting 7%
- running 7%
To induce an orgasm during abdominal exercises the majority of participants noted these happened only after intense and several sets of abdominal exercises like crunches.
The specific ab exercise that seemed to produce most of the orgasms were vertical knee raises on the captains chair while raising their knees to their chest.
How is This Happening?
There are several theories surrounding HOW a woman could orgasm during exercise. There is also one surprising fact about the female clitoris that MOST people don’t know about!
One thought is the use of the pelvic muscles along with the strong quads and inner thighs during the exercises – encourages the women to also squeeze their pelvic muscles so it only FEELS like an orgasm.
Another explanation is the combination of movements and squeezing actually stimulates her clitoris. The repetitions in the movement plus add the “feel good” chemicals being released in the brain – just like during sex – dopamine + endorphins + repetitive movement causes enough stimulation to orgasm.
What You Don’t Know About the Female Sex Organ
The female sex organ has been relatively ignored by the medical community. The function of the clitoris is solely for providing sexual pleasure to the female human. It doesn’t do anything else so why should it have the reams and volumes of medical documentation, studies, journal entries, and textbooks that the penis has.
Although I can’t say for certain that if women pee’d out of their clitoris they would have gotten as much attention anyway.

The other researcher, Dr. Foldès, has used this knowledge to successfully restore sexual sensation to women who have been subject to clitoral mutilation. Over 3000 women have been operated on so far.
